Hi I’m Nick Sagar-House. With over 18 years of experience in the music industry, I’ve built a diverse career as a music producer, mixing and mastering engineer, sound designer, and record label manager.
Since 2007, through my company Res Mastering, I’ve provided high-quality production, mixing, and mastering services to more than 50 record labels and 80 artists, helping shape their sound and elevate their careers.
Under my artist alias “Mechanimal,” I’ve gained recognition as a music producer and DJ. Since 2009, I’ve produced over 80 tracks, including a chart-topping debut album, and performed live in 12 countries. I’ve grown an organic following of over 10k, sharing my passion for electronic music with fans across the globe.
Alongside music production, I’ve always had a deep interest in sound design. As a freelance sound designer for Dance midi samples Ltd from 2010 to 2019, I developed best-selling sound libraries and released 21 products, while also gaining hands-on experience developing virtual instruments.
I founded Figment Records in 2013, where I managed all aspects of the label, including A&R, marketing, graphic design, and mastering. During my 4+ years at the helm, I signed 36 artists and released 104 tracks, with several earning airplay on BBC radio.
Through my journey in the industry, I’ve learned the importance of not only mastering skills but having the right support and mindset, which I now bring to my group mentor programs to help the next generation of music creators thrive.

Working hours
9:30 to 16:00 (GMT+1) Monday to Friday.
Turn around time ranges from 2 hours to 7 calendar days.
Payment terms
Prices exclude VAT.
Invoices must be settled within 14 days by Wise, PayPal, or bank transfer.
Overdue invoices may incur a €15 administration fee to cover additional processing and follow-up.
Clients with repeated late payments may be required to pay in advance for future services.
File format
Please send files via Transfernow.net
I recommend 24bit WAV files with -6 dB headroom. Please ensure the sample rate matches the project’s (usually 44.1 kHz).
If you’ve used plugins on the master channel, kindly export a version without them.
Amendments
The first amendments listfor mastering services, is free of charge. This applies to my work and does not include revised tracks.
Revised tracks, additional amendments and administrative tasks are subject to a fee of €50 per hour.
Projects and exports
Projects will be backed up for 1 year after completion.
You may take the project files for a €50 surcharge.
Royalties, publishing and copyright
I don’t receive royalties from digital or mechanical sales unless I’m credited as an artist.
When I’m credited as an artist on the project, I receive an equal share of the publishing rights among all involved parties, unless I’m ghostwriting.
Writers retain copyright ownership.
Credits and ghost writing
Relevant credits should be included in the release metadata for sales distribution and publishing purposes.
